The nylon V groove protects your piece while the metal jaw gives a solid surface to make the forming happen easily. You can use these in subtle little movements to accomplish closed joints, making wonky shapes more even, subtle little tweaks that even out a ring or cuff shape and so many more things! These are one of my most used tools in my studio.
